This role serves as the central owner of Rural King’s surveillance and security technology infrastructure, overseeing the performance, maintenance, implementation, and operational effectiveness of camera, alarm, and related security systems across all locations. This position partners with Facilities, Surveillance, vendors, and internal teams to ensure systems remain reliable, compliant, and aligned with business needs while providing technical support, project coordination, and escalation management. Reporting to the Surveillance Manager, this role supports daily Surveillance Operations.
What You'll Do
Oversee and manage all company CCTV and alarm systems, ensuring full functionality across stores, distribution centers, and other properties.
• Coordinate and oversee the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of surveillance and alarm systems in partnership with vendors, construction teams, Facilities, and internal stakeholders.
• Audit camera and alarm systems regularly to ensure compliance, coverage standards, and operational effectiveness.
• Act as primary point of contact for alarm and surveillance system escalations; serve as escalation point for complex technical or operational issues.
• Maintain system documentation, naming conventions, configurations, programming, labeling, and user access controls for surveillance and alarm platforms.
• Partner cross-functionally with Facilities for broader infrastructure needs impacting systems; work with Facilities to assist stores with emergencies or safety concerns by notifying the team if help is needed to secure the location.
• Own the end-to-end new store surveillance implementation process, including coordination of alarm contract setup, camera system access and user provisioning, server onboarding, camera aiming, programming, naming, labeling, vendor relationship management/communication, and final operational readiness for all new store openings.
• Responsible for approving all camera design layouts and fire/security alarm layouts; audit new store CCTV and fire/security alarm system installs.
• Verify installation quality, perform final system validation with the project manager, and ensure all new surveillance and security system installations meet company standards prior to turnover to Operations.
• Audit all Capex projects related to CCTV, fire/burglary/EAS; coordinate equipment procurement and material requirements for surveillance and security system installations and capital improvement projects.
• Provide advanced support to stores, Facilities, vendors, and internal teams on camera and alarm system usage, including video retrieval, system troubleshooting, work order guidance, and alarm access management.
• Monitor the Surveillance Teams’ processes regarding alarms to ensure compliance; ensure stores are following alarm procedures and protocols, following up and escalating as needed.
• Ensure alarm user lists/permissions are accurate and up to date, including new store alarm setup.
• Create and enforce SOP guides for Surveillance systems, store self-help resources, and operational procedures to prevent system issues.
• Oversee all new non-service-related incidents within job scope for CCTV, Alarm, Burglary, and EAS; follow up on all open non-service-related incidents for categories that are past due.
• Responsible for reviewing all invoices for approval related to alarm monitoring.
• Travel to verify all new installs related to areas mentioned above are completed to specifications.
• Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Actively participate in training sessions, workshops, webinars, and other professional development opportunities.

What We're Looking For
• At least 5 years of CCTV and fire/security alarm maintenance experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Highly Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software – specifically, Excel.
