Rural King is seeking a dependable Parts & Tractor Runner to support our Mobile Technicians, stores, Tractor Assembly Centers, and customers by safely transporting tractors, equipment, parts, and other assets throughout the assigned territory. You’ll load, unload, secure, and deliver equipment and parts while assisting with equipment movement, basic service support, repairs, merchandising, and customer needs.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to customers, Rural King stores, Tractor Assembly Centers, and third-party dealers.
  • Safely transport company-owned and customer-owned tractors, agricultural equipment, heavy equipment, machinery, parts, and other assets for delivery, repair, service, or sale.
  • Load, unload, inspect, and properly secure equipment, machinery, parts, and other assets of various sizes and weights.
  • Operate trucks, loaded trailers, tractors, forklifts, service trucks, gantry cranes, and electric hoists to transport and move equipment and parts.
  • Assist Mobile Technicians with equipment transportation, parts delivery, basic service work, repairs, and field service support.
  • Assist stores and Tractor Assembly Centers with equipment movement, deliveries, merchandising, repairs, and customer service.
  • Use computer systems, parts identification systems, and service software to document work, identify parts, troubleshoot systems, and maintain accurate records.
  • Safely operate servicing and diagnostic equipment, including multimeters and other service-related tools.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and properly equipped service vehicle and work area.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional customer service to customers, associates, technicians, vendors, and business partners.
  • Manage multiple transportation, delivery, and service-support assignments while prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines.
  • Occasionally stay overnight when business needs require extended travel.
  • Follow company safety procedures and ensure the safe use of vehicles, equipment, tools, and machinery.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to build equipment, transportation, service, and technical knowledge.

What We're Looking For

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and no major violations.
  • Experience operating a vehicle with a loaded trailer.
  • Experience properly securing tractors, equipment, machinery, parts, or other assets for transportation.
  • Experience operating farm equipment, tractors, agricultural equipment, or heavy construction equipment.
  • Ability to safely load, unload, transport, and secure equipment and machinery of varying sizes and weights.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with computer-based systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting Mobile Technicians, store teams, Parts & Service teams, and Tractor Assembly Centers.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.

 

Preferred Experience

Experience in or around:

  • Parts delivery, parts running, or equipment delivery
  • Equipment transportation, tractor transportation, or equipment hauling
  • Agricultural, farm, or heavy equipment
  • Equipment dealerships, rental operations, parts departments, or service departments
  • Field service or mobile service operations
  • Equipment loading, unloading, and securement
  • Trailer operation and equipment hauling

Experience with tractors, agricultural equipment, heavy equipment, outdoor power equipment, parts identification, equipment maintenance, or basic mechanical service is a plus.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, carry, push, and pull throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 65 pounds and perform repetitive lifting, bending, carrying, and pushing.
  • Ability to safely load, unload, move, and secure equipment, machinery, parts, and other assets.
  • Ability to access and navigate customer locations, Rural King stores, Tractor Assembly Centers, service areas, and other facilities.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others in person and through electronic devices.
  • Ability to operate a vehicle and travel throughout the assigned territory.

None.

 

The pay range for this position is $17–$18 per hour, with exact compensation determined by factors such as geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also receive overtime pay in compliance with applicable laws.
