Rural King is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to support the Accounts Payable department, Manager, and team by overseeing daily operations and ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing from creation through matching in REIM. This role is responsible for team supervision, issue resolution, CFIN invoice processing, vendor maintenance, and overall process integrity. The Supervisor is expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and provide excellent service to internal and external partners while fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Operations

  • Oversee invoice processing from receipt through validation, entry, matching, and payment.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all AP functions.
  • Review and maintain vendor records, including setup, payment terms, and banking information.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Accounts Payable issues.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to internal departments and external vendors.
  • Ensure proper coding, approvals, and processing of invoices in CFIN.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Develop and mentor associates to support growth and success within their roles.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to department standards.
  • Train new associates in REIM processes and, when applicable, CFIN processes.
  • Report weekly metrics and performance updates to the AP Manager.
  • Provide leadership support to team leads and associates.
  • Lead associates in a way that exemplifies the leadership principles taught in Rural King’s Thrive Leadership Program.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

What We're Looking For

  • At least 5 years of Accounts Payable experience and Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Supervisory experience minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Solid understanding of retail business practices
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, and must align with core value of Rural King

Qualifications

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
  • Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
  • Ability to navigate and access all facilities.
  • Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
  • Close vision for computer-related activities.

Exact compensation determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also receive overtime pay in compliance with applicable laws.
