JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage DC facility and forklift maintenance responsibilities for multiple locations
  • Develop preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and maintenance costs
  • Plan and schedule the repair work for the maintenance associates to ensure that all work is done in a safe and timely manner, while reducing lost productivity
  • Train and develop maintenance associates
  • Ensure exceptional safety of equipment & tools as well as cleanliness of the maintenance shops
  • Communicate specific work assignments and responsibilities to associates
  • Ensure inventory is secured, stored and only accessible to the associates in accordance with the company guidelines
  • Travel, as business dictates
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties as business dictates

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be flexible with hours: ability to work a 50-hour workweek with varied hours, days, night, and weekends as business dictates
  • Must be a self-starter, willing to take the initiative and able and willing to work without direct supervision
  • Computer and data-entry skills required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage hourly associate

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Good visual acuity and ability to communicate effectively to all audiences
  • Close vision for PC work
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements.
