What You’ll Do

As a Compliance Coordinator,  you will ensure the organization and its representatives remain compliant with all regulatory, licensing, and internal policy requirements. As the Compliance Coordinator, you will help ensure Rural King remains compliant with applicable retail regulations, licenses/permits, and internal policies and procedures across store audits and inspections, maintain accurate documentation, monitor regulatory changes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive timely, practical compliance outcomes.

 

  • Serve as contact for internal teams on legal, regulatory, and licensing
  • Track, manage, and renew required licenses using internal systems; prepare applications, renewals, and filings for associates and corporate
  • Maintain centralized repositories for licenses, compliance documents, SOPs, and regulatory
  • Monitor regulatory changes, product recalls, and stop-sale orders, and coordinate timely resolution with internal teams.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports, responses to regulatory agencies, and legal documentation as needed.
  • Assist with developing, reviewing, and updating compliance policies, procedures, and
  • Stay current on industry trends, state laws, and best practices affecting regulatory
  • compliance and licensing.
  • Work closely with legal, procurement, IT, operations, finance, and other teams on
  • compliance and licensing matters.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with regulatory agencies and external
  • Support Senior Compliance Specialist, Licensing Specialist, and attorneys in preparing and delivering training on licensing, regulatory procedures, and compliance requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, EPA, Weights & Measures, Liquid Propane, Hunt/Fish, etc.)
  • Support Senior Compliance Specialist and Licensing Specialist in developing educational materials that promote compliance awareness throughout the
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, professional internal and external support to others,
  • assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

Essential Qualities for Success

  • At least 2 years of compliance related
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, procedures, and other relevant regulatory
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Documenting and reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.

 Physical Requirements 

 

  • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
  • Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
  • Ability to navigate and access all facilities.
  • Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
  • Close vision for computer-related activities.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - 24.00 per hour and is bonus eligible. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also receive overtime pay in compliance with applicable laws.
