This position is a job shadowing opportunity.

We are looking for one student in each of the following concentrations:  Communication, Leadership, and Information Technology.

What You’ll Experience:

• Gain first hand exposure to learn about the workplace and career paths within each department.

• Observe professionals in action across various departments.

• Learn about day-to-day job responsibilities.

• Ask questions and gain career advice.

Essential Qualities for Success

• Must be a current LIFT student in Mattoon, IL.
• Must have attended the first two sessions of Rural King's LIFT days.At least 2 years of relevant experience and bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

 Physical Requirements 

• Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
• Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
• Ability to navigate and access all facilities.
• Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
• Close vision for computer-related activities.
