What You’ll do

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be critical to the overall success of the talent acquisition and retention strategy related to sourcing, full-cycle recruiting, interviewing, hiring, engagement, retention, and the candidate and associate experience. This position is responsible for driving applicant flow, employer brand awareness, and delivering upon both immediate short-term needs and strategic long-term objectives.  

  • Recruit for multiple categories of associates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and to develop effective strategies.
  • Ensure a strong candidate pipeline by executing staffing initiatives and creating innovative sourcing strategies and solutions.
  • Help to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria and company values.
  • Create and maintain relationships with high performing, active, and passive talent.
  • Establish consistent follow-up with hiring managers and candidates to ensure timeliness of recruiting process.
  • Provide personal, hands-on involvement, direction, and support to candidates.
  • Make final hiring recommendations in partnership with hiring managers, including preparation of the offer letter.
  • Provide guidance on industry trends related to recruiting and retention.
  • Manage job postings, recruitment materials, and advertisements.
  • Coordinate reference checks, pre-screenings, relocation, and the onboarding process.
  • Generate recruiting data and reports.
  • Drive associate engagement and positive outcomes through programs companywide that generate excitement towards company values, goals, and culture.
  • Establish positive working relationships and credibility with associates and leadership to drive engagement companywide.
  • Work closely with schools and organizations for career fair opportunities, partnerships, networking, and speaking engagements.
  • Be part of a team that celebrates achievements, promotes teamwork, and recognizes individual contributions.
  • Take ownership of challenging assignments and have the autonomy to implement innovative solutions.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

Essential Qualities for Success

  • At least 5+ years of recruiting experience of  corporate recruiting experience across technology, leadership positions and beyond. 
  • Combination of corporate recruiting and agency recruiting a plus. 
  • Experience implementing a departmentwide talent strategy. 
  • Experience implementing employer branding strategies. 
  • Experience leading meetings and influencing others. 
  • Demonstrated experience with proactive recruiting. 
  • Professional Human Resources Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Knowledge of social networking technology as a recruiting tool including LinkedIn.
  • Demonstrated ability to actively listen, ask relevant questions, and provide thorough and articulate responses.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Proficiency in time management, including the ability to effectively plan, schedule, and allocate resources to meet objectives.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to effectively listen.
  • Ability to remain composed and focused during high-pressure situations, ensuring quality and timely outcomes.

 Physical Requirements  

  •  Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
  • Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
  • Able to navigate and access all facilities.
  • Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
  • Close vision for computer-related activities.

The pay range for this position is $57,000 - $75,500 annualized and is bonus eligible. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs.
