What You’ll Do

The Drop Ship Specialist is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the drop shipping process in for RuralKing.com and RKGuns.com. Ensures the efficient operation of D2C by managing supplier relationships, monitoring performance metrics, and analyzing data to improve processes and profitability.

• Process and track drop-ship orders from placement to fulfillment.
• Build and maintain relationships with drop shipping suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's quality, pricing, and delivery standards.
• Conduct supplier onboarding process to reduce errors, delays, and misunderstandings.
• Collaborate with our EDI team to ensure proper supplier EDI testing.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Resolve order discrepancies, shipping delays, and inventory shortages efficiently.
• Track stock levels across multiple suppliers to avoid stockouts and backorders.
• Work with suppliers to update and synchronize product availability data via EDI and order management systems.
• Analyze sales, order trends, and supplier performance data to identify inefficiency, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for improvement.
• Use data to forecast demand, ensuring that the suppliers can handle expected volumes and reduce instances of out-of-stock products.
• Manage the returns process by coordinating with suppliers to handle defective or unwanted products.
• Analyze return rates and work with suppliers to reduce instances of returns through better quality control and product descriptions.
• Stay updated on trends in the eCommerce and drop shipping industry to identify new products or suppliers that could improve the business.
• Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
• Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

Essential Qualities for Success

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management or administration field and/or relevant work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency in e-commerce platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and shipping operations in the context of drop shipping.
• Demonstrated ability to meticulously review and analyze information, identifying errors or inconsistencies to maintain high levels of accuracy.
• Ability to follow, identify and address deviations from an established process
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance, adapting schedules, and plans as necessary.

The pay range for this position is $47,000 - $62,160 annualized and is bonus eligible. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs.
