What You’ll do


As the Sourcing Coordinator you will be collaborating with various teams to manage documentation, supplier relations, and import processes, while also supporting product development and handling inquiries related to replacement parts and manuals.

 

  • Collaborate with Data, EDI, AP, Vendor Compliance, Logistics, Marketing, E-commerce, Replenishment, and Store Supplies teams to address needs and documentations.
  • Aid in following up with suppliers regarding necessary/missing documentation and agreements.
  • Assist in liaising with suppliers and the Logistics Team regarding late or overdue bookings.
  • Manage the setup process of new import SKUs using our ticketing software, uploading New Item Import Sheets and Freight Review Sheets.
  • Support product development specialists, merchants, and the design team in import packaging initiatives, encompassing packaging, labels, and manuals, to keep them on track.
  • Request, compile, and document import samples: pre- and post-production, as well as Golden Sample reviews.
  • Assist in coordinating Product Line Reviews, including scheduling meetings, sending invitations, and arranging samples with suppliers, product development specialists, and merchants.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, merchants, and the marketing team to maintain/update current and new images/product information for import items on Ruralking.com.
  • Handle customer service inquiries related to replacement parts and manuals.
  • Lead the improvement and upkeep of our in-house brand procedures, both for imported and domestic goods.
  • Meet deadlines for getting seasonal and everyday products ordered and shipped.
  • Ensure all Private Label (PVL) items have agreements with vendors and the necessary insurance, whether they're imported or domestic.
  • Set up a clear way to check all PVL packaging and manuals to confirm they follow the same rules, whether they're imported or domestic.
  • Create a system to track defective PVL products and guarantee our vendors take responsibility for them.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

Essential Qualities for Success

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Physical Requirements 

 

  • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
  • Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively and 31-50 pounds intermittently.
  • Ability to navigate and access all facilities.
  • Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
  • Close vision for computer-related activities.
