  • The Warehouse Area Manager assists the Warehouse Manager in providing materials, equipment, and supplies by directing the receiving, warehousing, and distribution services.
  • Assists receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
  • Hire and make recommendations on employment status
  • Directs all warehouse personnel to meet DC goals
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Establish and preserve a positive work atmosphere
  • Operate forklift, pallet jack, and warehouse equipment
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties

  • 1+ years warehouse leadership experience
  • Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Flexibility with hours: ability to work varied hours, days, night, and weekends as business dictates
  • Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire onboarding process remotely
  • Ability to complete computer-based training

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to all audiences
  • Good visual acuity
  • Close vision for computer work
  • Repetitive wrist movements on keyboard
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day
  • Ability to repetitively lift, bend, carry, and push
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements
