What You’ll Do


As a Procurement Coordinator, you will be responsible for receiving and processing purchase requisitions while working with internal and external partners to ensure orders are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Responsible for receiving and processing all purchase requisition requests, with a focus on store supplies.
  • Complete and review purchase orders prior to manager’s approval.
  • Work with vendors to resolve issues and ensure orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Handle inquiries from accounting, A/P, etc. as it relates to purchase orders.
  • Build positive business relationships with key internal and external partners (DC/warehouse staff, external vendors, internal RK business units, etc.).
  • Assist manager in negotiating best pricing with vendors, with a focus on store supplies; look for opportunities of value and improvement across existing pricing agreements.
  • Maintain vendor and SKU information in the inventory management system (Oracle Fusion/MFCS).
  • Maintain metrics related to volume, spend, savings, etc. on all purchase orders processed.
  • Look for ways to improve inventory management, with a focus on store supplies.
  • Assist manager with projects as requested.
  • Develop and maintain departmental procedures.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualities for Success

  • At least 1-2 years of retail operations experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn Oracle ERP System.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas, instructions, and information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing complex projects, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient resources to complete a project on time.

Physical Requirements  

  • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
  • Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
  • Ability to navigate and access all facilities.
  • Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
  • Close vision for computer-related activities.
