What You’ll do

 

As the Digital Marketing Manager, your role entails crafting and implementing our digital strategy while overseeing external partners' management for the Rural King brand. This position is dedicated to harnessing the potential of online marketing as a driving force in propelling both online and in-store traffic and boosting sales.

 

  • Lead strategy and guidelines for all digital marketing channels.
  • Steer the execution of digital brand communication efforts.
  • Contribute to the marketing plan process, ensuring digital strategy supports overall marketing strategy.
  • Work closely with the Vice President of Marketing and Director of Pricing and Integrated Marketing Planning, and cross functional partners in building digital media plan.
  • Develop and execute an annual digital marketing plan that supports overall marketing programs, in partnership with key stakeholders, and agency partners.
  • Manage relationships with all external digital agency partners.
  • Lead execution of digital marketing initiatives across owned platforms (including but not limited to website, mobile, social channels, email) in collaboration with internal and external teams, as well as agency team.
  • Partner with internal and external content managers, editors, designers, developers, and other content providers to ensure sites meet brand needs, align with the brand strategy platform, and meet brand and web standards.
  • Develop consistent reporting methodology, setting standards of monitoring and tracking for all digital channels. Optimize and enhance performance on an ongoing basis in partnership with marketing and agency team.
  • Provide strategic counsel and guidance on new digital technologies, curating emerging tech, partners and tools to bring innovation to digital activities.
  • Operate as the digital, social, and mobile subject matter expert within the marketing team and the broader organization and franchisee base.
  • Manage web-based tools (e.g., Content Management System, web applications, social media channels, mobile applications, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with IT Business peers to successfully integrate & implement complex digital technology solutions.
  • Lead associates in a way that exemplifies the leadership principles taught in Rural King’s Thrive Leadership Program.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualities for Success

 

  • At least 5 years of digital marketing experience and bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience in oversight of user interface/user experience and website optimization, usability studies and A/B testing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the digital landscape, with ability to identify best-in-class solutions.
  • Experience directing web/digital agencies and other outsourced partners.
  • Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven experience in effectively supervising and leading a diverse team, guiding them toward achieving department goals and objectives.

  • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
  • Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
  • Ability to navigate and access all facilities.
  • Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
  • Close vision for computer-related activities.
